July 4 - Happy Fourth of July everybody! I hope you spend time with friends and family and relax on this fine summer day! I know it's been a while since we've had a blog post so there's obviously a lot to get into. Let's get into it!
2022 All-Star Game - As of right now the All-Star game looks something like this: American League: Starting Pitcher - Shay | Designated Hitter - Tita | National League: Starting Pitcher - Cam | Designated Hitter - Brooke
The National League lineup is no surprise but when you look at the American League, the stats are a little surprising. Phillip, coming into the season, looked like he was going to surpass 50 homeruns but is currently at a measly 11 homeruns mid-way through the season. It's safe to say that he's underperformed this year a little. Tita is taking advantage of the Phillip scenario by putting up a career high number of bombs.
Panoramic Park - A few weeks ago we thought that CWB needed a change. Park Field has become lets say.. a little boring (300+ games will do that to you). We decided to try our luck at a new field with an ideal location and field requirements that suite us. {insert panoramic park} alas! This new field has a fence, great view, and green grass; what more could we ask for? Fun fact: Cam gets the credit for first homerun at Panoramic Park (also the easternmost homerun in CWB history).
Memory Lane - Let's take a trip into the past seasons and see how it compares!
Shay (58) - At this time last year he had 48 homeruns so it's safe to say he's ahead of schedule (2020 is a different story: 65 homeruns at this time 😳).
Tita (11) - Is exactly at where she was last year at this time (11 hrs). She's way ahead of her 2020 homerun count: a grand total of 2 as of July 1 2020.
Philman (11) - Let's keep this short and simple: Phil has some catching up to do from 2021(20 homeruns) but is ahead of 2020 homeruns (10 at this time 2 years ago).
Brooke (56) - She currently sits at a comfortable 56 homeruns right now which is 24 more homeruns than she had about one year ago. (Oh and not to mention that she's way above her 2020 homerun count at this time: 23).
Cam (58) - Cam has a complicated relationship with the homerun log because his stats in the previous years aren't as impressive as they are this year. 2021 Fourth of July Cam = 30 homeruns. 2020 Fourth of July Cam = 15 homeruns.
Well, that sure was a lot to write so I'm officially done with typing today. Have a good 4th🎆🧨🎇 and maybe play some wiffleball. See ya later! 👋
